I thought I'd begin the year with a new Blog in which I may post comments, items of general interest, and anything else that comes to mind. This is also a place where I can answer some of the many questions I receive about my work and my web site. I'd like to begin by wishing you a healthy and prosperous new year. We've all been through the ringer lately—what with the war in Iraq, the elections, and the ups and downs of the economy. So before taking that tentative first step into the new year, why not join with me in raising a glass and reflecting on the good things in our lives.
Speaking of good things, have you ever heard of Taylor guitars? I own a Baby Taylor, and also a 712 Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric; both wonderful instruments. Taylor has been making quality instruments for 30 years, and has released some wonderful commemorative limited additions to complement their standard models. If you play guitar or value fine craftsmanship, check them out; you'll be glad you did.
Incidentally, I heard a wonderful quote on NPR the other day, that I'd like to share with you. It's by an eleven year old cancer patient: "Do all you can with what you have, whenever you're able, in the place you are."
